HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Eng Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie participated in the 23rd meeting of ministers of environment in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, which was held via video conference. The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the decisions of the Supreme Council in its 40th session (Al-Ula Summit) regarding the adoption of environmental directives of the GCC countries 2020, in addition to the efforts of the member states in facing the Covid-19 pandemic. The meeting also discussed the progress made in implementing the strategic plan of the GCC Committee of Ministers responsible for environmental affairs, reviewing the results of the work of the Convention on the Preservation of Wildlife and its Natural Habitat in the Countries of GCC, and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
