France will allow fully vaccinated travellers from Qatar with a valid visa to enter without quarantine upon arrival starting June 9.
The "reopening of the French borders" is in light of the improvement of the situation in both France and Qatar, the French embassy said on Twitter on Sunday.
"As of 9 June, Qatari or third-country travellers from Qatar, if they already have a fully valid visa and are otherwise fully vaccinated, may re-enter France without quarantine upon arrival," the French embassy said in its 'Advice for Travel to France'.
The embassy specified the conditions, noting: "Upon departure from Qatar, presentation of evidence of a complete vaccination cycle: two weeks after the second injection of Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccine; four weeks after the injection of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine; two weeks after single injection for those with a history of Covid-19.
In addition, visitors will be required to present upon departure a "negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or a negative antigenic test of less than 48 hours".
Previous special conditions continue to be maintained for persons not yet fully vaccinated.
"For those who do not already have a fully valid visa, the embassy is working to reopen the visa service in the coming weeks, with no date at this stage," the embassy added.
