The designated authorities have referred 390 people to prosecution for violating the preventive and precautionary measures enforced by the country to contain the spread of Covid-19, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Wedensday.
Among them, 355 people were referred to the prosecution for not wearing masks in places where they are mandatory, 20 for not maintaining safe physical distancing and 14 for violating the rule on the number of people permitted in a vehicle.
Also one person was referred to the prosecution for violating quarantine requirements.
The measure is in line with the Cabinet decision, Decree Law No 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary measures in force in the country to contain the spread of Covid-19.
The authorities have called on the public to adhere to the precautionary measures in place to ensure their safety and that of others.
