Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced a new update to its Absher Rewards Programme, adding the option for customers to redeem their Absher points in real-time against QIB Hadiyati gift prepaid cards with credit from QR200 to QR5,000.
The Hadiyati Card is an ideal way to gift or reward loved ones with a gift amount instead of cash, on special occasions and festive celebrations. The Hadiyati Card is also an effective and secure gift option for corporations as it can be used as a means to provide company rewards to employees on special occasions.
QIB’s Hadiyati Cards offer the flexibility to pre-load any value from QR200 up to QR5,000 for each card. Cardholders can use their cards while shopping at all point of sales machines (PoS) both locally and internationally. The cards cannot be used for online purchases or ATM withdrawals.
The exchange process only takes a few clicks and can be done easily, 24/7, and from anywhere via the QIB mobile App or the dedicated Absher web portal (absher.qib.com.qa). After logging in, customers can tap on redeem “Hadiyati” Card to access the dedicated redemption page, select the card value from QR200 to QR5,000, select the preferred delivery option to complete the redemption process.
After confirming the points’ redemption, the card will then be printed and picked up from QIB Service Desk Centre or delivered to the customer's preferred location via Qatar Post.
D Anand, QIB general manager - Personal Banking Group, said: “We are once again happy to reward our customers with the option of converting their Absher points into Hadiyati prepaid cards that they can in turn gift to their loved ones or use as a cashless payment method for purchasing goods and services.
“The Absher Rewards Programme continues to be one of the most comprehensive rewards programme in Qatar, and the one-stop-shop that allows customers to turn their rewards points into cashless payment experiences in Qatar.”
QIB customers can earn Absher points every time they engage with the range of bank’s products and services, such as transferring their salaries for the first time, opening fixed deposit accounts, using their QIB credit and debit cards, in addition to registering for the QIB mobile App and international transfers from the mobile App.
Customers can also choose to redeem their Absher points against vouchers to shop at the Mall of Qatar and all Al Meera supermarkets in Qatar or settle their Ooredoo, Vodafone or Kahramaa utility bills.
Absher points can also be exchanged against e-vouchers for Uber, Careem, Talabat, or any of the bank’s redeem partners. The Absher points can also be used to book flights with over 900 airlines, book a room from over 450,000 hotels or rent a car from more than 150,000 car rental offices in more than 150 cities worldwide.
Customers also have access to the online shopping store specialised in redeeming points with thousands of products across different categories, ranging from electronic items, personal, and household items from leading brands.
