Qatar’s Saeed al-Sulaiti claimed a podium place finishing third in the Campeonato interaautonomico de Velocidad (CIV Round 2) Championship, organised by the Andalusian Motorcycle Federation and held at the Jerez Ángel Nieto Speed Circuit in Andalusia, Spain, on Sunday.
Al-Sulaiti of CIV Motorsport Yamaha clocked 19:45.621secs in the Open 600cc class behind race winner Angel Heredia and second placed Carlos Torrecillas.
Also excelling were Qatar riders Yousef al-Darwish and Abdullah al-Qubaisi. While al-Darwish (CIV Motorsport) Yamaha finished in 20:06.365 to claim the sixth position, al-Qubaisi (CIV Motorsport) Yamaha 20:06.605 finished in 7th position.
The Andalusian and interterritorial speed competition ‘Memorial Luis Gil’ saw 5 events being raced in the presence of fans after a suspension of more than 14 months. The events will close on November 13 and 14 at the same stage.
