The General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD) at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has recorded another achievement by bringing down the response time to reports to a maximum of 7 minutes and 45 seconds.

This was highlighted through a video tweeted by the MoI.

The video showed that the new time surpasses the global response rate, helping Qatar's Civil Defence secure an internationally advanced position while achieving its desired goal.

This was achieved by using the latest technologies and equipment in addition to the presence of trained officers, who are capable of dealing with the risks and challenges involved.

Lieutenant Mohamed Hamad al-Suwaidi from the Operations Department said the Civil Defence possesses an advanced fleet of vehicles and equipment, which helps the directorate deal with all types of accidents. He added that the administration has ladders of different heights, which are used in fire and rescue operations.

“The directorate is equipped with the latest specifications in its field of work," he said, adding that the administration receives reports through the National Command Centre following requests submitted by community members or through alarms in some buildings and facilities.
