Queen Elizabeth II leaves The Poppy Factory after seeing the manufacturing of the iconic red emblem of the British Legion’s annual poppy appeal at the company headquarters in Richmond, London, yesterday. The Poppy Factory has been one of the official manufacturers of the poppy since 1922 and has made 12mn poppies and 107,000 wreaths in 2012 alone. The Poppy Factory also helps wounded veterans and dependents of service personnel find employment with companies across the UK.
