Khalid al-Maraghi edged out Ahmed Elkhoully to win the second round of the Qatar Digital Motosports Championship held online on Tuesday. The virtual race played on Gran Turismo Sport game on PlayStation 4 has been organised by the Qatar Motor and Motorcylce Federation (QMMF).
Al-Maraghi showed great control and driving skills to finish on top with a time of 18:04.315secs. Elkhoully, who had won the opening round, this time finished +01.321secs behind the winner.
Sheikh Soud Jassim al-Thani (+02.351) was third but his good show saw him finish second in the overall rankings.
From among the 24 participants, 12 had qualified for the first and second round. The championship will see a total of six rounds. The third round will be held after Eid. The dates for the remaining dates will be announced soon, said Qatar Motor and Motorcylce Federation.
