The competent authorities yesterday arrested five persons for violating the home quarantine requirements that they had committed to follow, and which they were legally accountable for, in accordance with the procedures laid down by the country’s health authorities.

This comes in implementation of the precautionary measures in force in the country, approved by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) to ensure the achievement of public safety and to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The arrested persons being referred to the competent prosecution are Abu Dhar Ahmed Mohamed Mohamed Ali, Ashishwar Mahato, Leela Nath Dahal, Nasser Abdullah Nasser Mohamed al-Dehaimi and Ahmed Nasser Hamad Saleh al-Marri.

The authorities concerned in the State have called on citizens and residents who are subject to quarantine to fully adhere to the requirements stipulated by the MoPH to ensure their safety and that of others.
