Qatar will take part in Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021, which will be held from June 2 to 5, with a delegation of senior officials, businessmen, political figures and heads of civil society organisations, representing more than 50 Qatari institutions.
Qatar's participation in the event affirms its commitment to broadening its bilateral economic relations with Russia and promoting them to new horizons. Discussions about the industrial, economic, investment, technological, educational, cultural and sporting potentials of Qatar will be held in the framework of the Forum's programme. Commenting on the occasion, ambassador of Qatar to Russia Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser al-Thani underlined that the broad representation of Qatar in Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021 reflects the extensive prospects for co-operation between Qatar and Russia and the keenness of the two sides on deepening and expanding the relations.
The ambassador expressed confidence that the co-operation through this important forum will be fruitful, looking forward to establishing new partnerships and expanding the commercial and economic relations. Qatar's pavilion at the Forum, which represents several national authorities and institutions, will work on enriching the programme of the Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The pavilion will also host bilateral meetings, discussion panels and round tables on the bilateral partnerships between Qatar and Russia, as well as other countries. On the sidelines of Qatar's participation in the Forum, a host of cultural events will take place in different parts of Petersburg, in accordance with an intensive cultural programme that aims at highlighting the Qatari culture.
