The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA) announced the launch of the unified platform for complaints and disputes at the end of May, enabling all members of society to file complaints against violations of the labor law and allowing Qatari and non-Qatari workers in the private sector subject to the labor law to submit their complaints against their employers.

In a press conference held on Wednesday held via visual communication technology, IT Director at the Ministry Eng. Muna Salem Al Fadhli explained that the unified platform for complaints and disputes, to be launched on May 24, aims to enable all members of society to submit complaints against their employers, whether subject to the labor law or the authorities that the Ministry regulates its work, such as nurseries, recruitment offices, and others.

The launch of the platform comes within the framework of expanding communication channels with target groups, developing internal programs for labor complaints, updating and accelerating them, and facilitating their use by converting them into systems and cloud applications that can be used on tablets, computers and smart phones, IT Director Al Fadhli added.

She said that the new platform includes a set of services including submitting complaints from private sector workers, whether Qatari or non-Qatari, against private establishments or companies, complaints of domestic workers against employers, and submitting a public report from any individual in the community about a violation of labor laws. The launch is in its first stage, while a second stage will soon follow, including five additional channels, individuals, categories and segments not included in this stage.

Al Fadhli indicated that the platform supports both Arabic and English languages, with the translation of user guides and the most common questions into 10 other languages, and a link will be added to the Ministry's website to allow access to the platform from a communication device connected to the Internet.

She pointed out that that submitting the complaint is through an ID card or entry visa with a mobile number or through national authentication and choosing the type of complaint.

If the complaint is a public report, the person can log in with the mobile phone number, adding that the official complaint can be followed up with the competent department. As for the report, the Ministry will send inspectors to verify its authenticity and take legal measures regarding violators of the labor law without referring to the sender or informing them of the outcome.
