The Admission, Registration and Student Affairs Department at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) has announced the acceptance of 244 students for 2021 Fall semester. There were more than 10,000 applications from the Arab region and worldwide.
Qatar was on the top of the list of admitted students with a total number of 82 Qatari students, 33% of the students admitted.
The admitted students will enroll in 17 master’s programmes. A total of 175 students were admitted to the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and 69 to the School of Public Administration and Development Economics. All applications for admission to the DI’s programmes were subject to a thorough examination and assessment, which included interviews conducted with DI professors.
The students were selected based on their academic achievements in their undergraduate studies, proficiency in Arabic and English, knowledge in the area of specialisation, and contribution to the service of their community.
The Fall semester will start on August 29. The Class of 2021 will be the seventh cohort to begin their studies at DI since its opening in 2015.
