The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in co-operation with Almana Motors Company, announced the recall of Ford F150 models of 2017-2020, as a noise may develop from the cam phasers when starting the engine in some of the affected vehicles.
The MoCI also announced, in co-operation with Mannai Trading Company, the recall of GMC Savana model of 2021, due to a possible defect in the positive battery wire, which may lead to an electrical discharge or a fire in the same area.
The recall campaign comes within the framework of the MoCI’s continuous efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs. The MoCI said that it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that they carried out the necessary repairs.
The MoCI urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquires and suggestions through the following channels:
