The second campus of MES Indian School (MESIS), Abu Hamour branch, started its virtual classes recently. The pre-opening interaction with parents and students began with messages from K Abdul Karim, president of governing board, and Dr Mohamed Haneef, school principal.
“The long-cherished dream of the management to open a second campus is a reality today and we extend and offer outstanding educational service of MESIS to a larger community, thus providing quality education for every child to grow as a holistic person”, said K Abdul Karim.
“Dealing and fruitfully engaging the students of the 21st century is the biggest challenge for teachers. But if we are well aware of the problems and make advance preparations, this can be done comfortably. Along with traditional teaching-learning, the new generation of children needs a lot of additional aspects to keep them occupied with academic matters. For that, the school will make all possible efforts to make the schooling a pleasurable experience for the learners,” said the principal.
Later, all teachers interacted with the students of their class and developed a rapport. The interaction motivated the students and boosted the confidence level of the teachers.
The exclusive highlights of the school like FM Radio, green army, star chase, happiness centre, value education, and moral education will also be implemented in a modified way to suit the online methodology. The school is also planning to conduct its first ‘School Parliament Election’ in a 100% democratic way. The notification and the procedure for the same will be initiated soon.
Dr Haneef urged all parents to provide maximum support to the kids to get on with the online classes and complete the tasks. The role of the parents during the virtual learning period is more than the actual learning time. The school will eventually justify the tagline ‘Together, Towards an Edu-Revolution’.
