The designated authorities referred 207 people to the relevant prosecution for violating the preventive and precautionary measures enforced in the country to contain the spread of Covid-19, the Ministry of Interior reported Tueday.
Among them, 191 people were referred to the prosecution for not wearing masks in places where these are mandatory, 10 for not maintaining safe physical distancing and four for violating quarantine requirements, while one person was referred for not installing the Ehteraz app.
Also, one person was referred to the prosecution for violating the vehicle occupancy rule. Under this rule, a maximum of four persons are allowed in a vehicle, including the driver, except when they are members of the same family.
The measure is in line with the Cabinet decision, Decree Law No 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary measures in force in the country to contain the spread of Covid-19.
