QIIB launched a new qualitative update to the bank's mobile banking and Internet banking applications, which will provide value addition to a wide range of banking services already available to customers through the bank’s round-the-clock digital channels.

Customers can also update their information through QIIB mobile banking and Internet banking applications, thus avoiding any unnecessary visit to the bank’s branches and any partial or complete interruption of the banking services as a result of the customer's delay in updating his/her information.
In order to facilitate customers' participation in initial public offerings announced from time to time, the new mobile banking and internet banking update from QIIB allows submission of applications to participate in IPOs via mobile banking and Internet banking with ease, without the need to visit any of the bank's branches.
Omar Abdulaziz al-Meer, head (Business Development and Alternative Channels Sector) at QIIB said, “We are pleased to inform our customers the availability of more important services through QIIB's mobile banking and internet banking applications. These are part of our commitment to provide the best banking solutions to our customers, whether through branches or digital services that are witnessing an unprecedented boom around the world. At QIIB, we are keeping pace with this boom by providing more services through our various digital channels".
He said, "The most important characteristic of the new update is the switch from providing banking services to providing financing as well, which is a leap that we hope will save our customers a lot of time, efforts and procedures and provide them with the ability to submit applications and update their account information instantly, at any time, without the need to visit the bank’s branches. We are thus pleased to respond to continuous demands made by our customers in this regard.”
Al-Meer noted, "The other important service that the new mobile banking and Internet banking update has been able to introduce is IPO subscriptions through these digital channels. This means, customers no longer have to wait at centres that handle the IPO processes. During future IPOs, our customers will be able to complete their subscription from the comfort of their home or place of stay, with ease, as part of the bank's plan to increase its operational efficiency during IPOs".
Moreover, he pointed out, “QIIB used to announce updates on its digital channels at long intervals. But now, we announce the availability of new services more frequently, as part of our response to the market conditions, and our desire to transform challenges into opportunities and build on what we have previously achieved in the field of digital channels. These channels gained our customers' satisfaction and have become permanent branches from which they obtain various services at all times".
