The business events industry is playing a significant role in leading the recovery of the Qatari economy from the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic, an official of NeXTfairs for Exhibitions & Conferences, which is organising seven virtual events this year via DigiCon platform.
NeXTFairs general manager Rawad Sleem announced that preparations have been completed to launch a series of virtual events this year: ‘Qatar HR Conference’, ‘Qatar Food Safety Conference’, ‘Qatar Marketing Conference’, ‘Qatar Dermatology & Cosmetology Conference’, ‘Qatar Packaging and Material Handling Conference’, ‘Qatar Cleaning and Facilities Management Conference’, as well as ‘Qatar Travel Mart Conference’, which would be a hybrid event.
“Exhibitions and conferences are heading towards the virtual world in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, depending on electronic platforms and modern technological developments, which enhances business continuity and stimulates the growth of economic sectors,” according to Sleem.
Sleem said, “We launched a series of virtual conferences and exhibitions during the previous period, which proved to be successful; that’s why we decided to go ahead and develop the mechanisms of work for these specialised events.
“We will work during the coming period to launch a series of conferences and exhibitions in a number of diverse sectors, such as human resources, food safety, dermatology, cosmetics, and packaging, in addition to the sectors of cleaning, facilities management, tourism, and travel. These conferences will be held virtually via DigiCon.”
Sleem explained that DigiCon is a comprehensive electronic platform that provides the latest virtual communication technologies with interactive windows that mimic the face-to-face traditional exhibitions with customised features like exchanging agreements between participating companies, having private meetings and live broadcasts, creating user-friendly clients’ lists, in addition to easy access to digital content from anywhere.
Sleem said Qatar HR Conference will be held virtually on June 29 and 30. The conference will be a significant platform for HR enthusiasts to get new approaches and ideas on how to handle and resolve issues surrounding the human resource sector and be up to date with the latest services, products, and technology available in the market.
Qatar Food Safety Conference is slated on July 27 and 28 to bring together the leaders of the food industry, food distributors, consumers, academics, and workers. During the event, various issues and challenges regarding food safety and quality will be discussed, in addition to reviewing the latest developments in the food industry post-pandemic.
Qatar Marketing Conference, happening from August 17 to 18, will discuss the most prominent new trends, innovations, and challenges facing marketing industry professionals in the local market.
Qatar Dermatology and Cosmetology Conference will be launched on August 27 and 28 to shed light on the latest medical researches related to dermatology and cosmetology in light of the rapid developments taking place in this field globally.
Qatar Packaging and Material Handling Conference will take place on September 27 and 28, and will review the latest developments and innovations in the field of packaging, storage, and handling materials.
Qatar Cleaning and Facilities Management Conference will take place on October 25 and 26, and will witness the introduction of a wide range of the latest products and modern technologies in this sector, in line with the current need to provide effective facility management services, a cleaner environment, and healthy workplaces.
Sleem said Qatar Travel Mart Conference will be held from November 16 to 18 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), in parallel with its virtual version, as the event represents a platform that leads the journey of tourism and travel sector’s recovery from the repercussions of the pandemic.
