The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and the Qatari Amiri Corps of Engineers (QACE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Ashghal president Dr engineer Saad bin Ahmed al- Muhannadi and QACE Commander Major General engineer Essa bin Ali al Kubaisi were present.
The MoU, according to an Ashghal statement, aims to enhance co-operation between the two entities, and benefit from resources through exchange of expertise, engineering and technical references for implementing projects in several areas.
The MoU specifies co-operation between Ashghal and QACE to develop human resources through training programmes, events, discussion forums, and joint workshops quarterly.
Dr al-Muhannadi said Ashghal is keen to enhance co-operation and partnership with all state entities to implement various programmes. He expressed his pleasure in signing the MoU with QACE to enhance cooperation between the two entities in many areas of training by contributing to build the project management system.
Major General al-Kubaisi said QACE is proud to work closely with Ashghal to provide appropriate professional training programmes for employees of both entities, pointing out that the common areas are chosen carefully to achieve highest levels of mutual benefit.
