The Cabinet on Wednesday listened to the explanation provided by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments and steps taken to limit the spread of Covid-19, QNA reported.
The Cabinet expressed satisfaction over the progress of the Covid-19 vaccination programme in Qatar, as 1,168,087 doses of the vaccine have been administered since the start of the programme.
The percentage of people who have received the first dose of the vaccine reached 27% of the total population and the percentage of people who have received both the doses is 15% of the total population. Thus, Qatar is ranked ninth in the world in the proportion of people who have received vaccination, the report states..
The Cabinet praised this achievement and the plans and programmes put in place to vaccinate the entire population in the country.
