The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a partial closure in Dafna Street for six months from April 16. The closure is in both directions between Dafna Street's intersections with Omar Al-Mukhtar Street and Balhambar Street for a distance of 600m.

Dafna Street will also be closed in one direction from its intersection with Balhambar Street to Al Dafna Intersection. Access to the embassies on both sides of Dafna Street will be kept open. During the closure in co-ordination with the General Traffic Department, Omar Al Mukhtar Street, Al Tawaweesh Street, and Balhambar Street can be used as alternative roads, as shown in the map.

The closure aims to allow the implementation of Dafna Street Development works, as part of the Roads and Parks Development Project in the West Bay area. Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure and requested all to follow them and abide by the speed limit to ensure safety.
