Ooredoo will support Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) in the charity’s efforts to ensure everyone has the necessary food provisions this Ramadan.
This contribution comes as part of the Ooredoo Al Khair campaign, which the company has launched in celebration of the holy month.
Qatar Red Crescent Society will be running the Khairkum Sabeq Festival, an initiative whereby participants can purchase food boxes for distribution to those in need, and Ooredoo will be the Strategic Communications Partner.
The Khairkum Sabeq Festival will support those in need this Ramadan with food boxes containing essentials such as flour, sugar, salt, oil, rice, lentils, juices and more.
Those who would like to participate can purchase a Ramadan Food Box for QR100 via the QRCS website or at any participating shopping centre.
The shopping centres will assemble the boxes containing the essentials.
QRCS will then send an SMS to the beneficiary and co-ordinate delivery via their nearest participating shopping centre.
Sabah Rabiah al-Kuwari, director of PR at Ooredoo, said: “We’re proud to be working with Qatar Red Crescent Society on this invaluable initiative this Ramadan, which comes as part of our Ooredoo Al Khair campaign.
"We all have a duty to take care of the less fortunate in our communities, and the holy month of Ramadan is the perfect time in which we can take practical steps to do so. We commend Qatar Red Crescent Society on their efforts, and look forward to helping them as they work to ensure everyone has the essentials they need this Ramadan.”
