As Qatar reimposes some of Covid-19 curbs, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), represented by Maritime Transport Affairs, has conducted a new awareness and control campaign to ensure maritime vessels' helmsmen and users follow the recommended preventive and precautionary measures.
The campaign also inspected other relevant maritime safety measures, the Ministry said a tweet Monday.
Several maritime affairs professionals from the MoI's Criminal Investigation Department and General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security and from the National Tourism Council participated in the campaign. They inspected to what extent helmsmen and users of all types of maritime vessels follow the precautionary instructions. They stressed the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures to stop the spread of the virus. The compliance with relevant maritime safety and security instructions were also inspected and availability of all safety and security equipment on boats.
