The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that 29.8% of people aged 16 years and above have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine since the start of Qatar’s National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme.
In its weekly vaccination update issued Sunday, the MoPH said 1,079,776 doses of the vaccine have been administered in the country until now, with 168,925 doses being given in the last seven days.
The figures mean that one out of four adults has received at least one dose of the vaccine, according to the MoPH.
A further break-up of the data shows that 79.8% of people over 60 years of age, 78.3% of people over 70 years of age, and 77.2% of people over 80 years of age have now received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Covid-19 vaccines are being administered at health centres, Qatar National Convention Centre, the two drive-through vaccination facilities in Al Wakra and Lusail, and the Industrial Area Vaccination Centre where operations start Monday.
