Dr Khalid Abdulnoor, Senior Consultant Emergency Medicine at HMC and lead for the Industrial Area Vaccination Centre , said: "I would like to thank all the partners involved in the preparations over the past few weeks for their support. The opening of the vaccination centre will greatly enhance access to the vaccines for people in the Doha Industrial Area. With more than 120 vaccination stations set up within the centre, the facility has the capacity to vaccinate large numbers of people each day."
He said: "Access to the vaccination centre will be by invitation only and we will not accept any walk-in people. Individuals should bring their QID, health card or passport with them and must show their green Ehteraz status. The vaccination process will take approximately 30 minutes from the time of arrival at the centre and includes a period of observation where medical teams will monitor vaccine recipients for any signs of side effects," explained Dr Abdulnoor.
The Industrial Area Vaccination Centre becomes the fourth specialist vaccination centre to be established to support the delivery of the vaccination programme at all 27 primary health centres, following the opening of the vaccination centre at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) and the two drive-through vaccination centres in Lusail and Al Wakra.
