Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the first 'Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg,' will be held virtually from June 21 to 23.
The Supreme Organising Committee announced on Thursday that the first forum is produced by Bloomberg Live and editorially programmed by Bloomberg News under the theme "Reimagining the World".
The event will convene participants from the world's leading experts and decision makers in the fields of finance, economics, investment, technology, energy, education, sports and climate.
"Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg" aims to prepare plans for international economic growth in the post-pandemic world and to benefit from the strategic location of Qatar -- being at the confluence of the East, West, and Africa to drive collaboration and connectivity as a means for advancing economic opportunity.
HE Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, Minister of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the first Qatar Economic Forum, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for his generous patronage of the event.
"This forum reflects Qatar's efforts to lead economic growth, achieve the comprehensive development goals, and instill its leading position as one of the most important investment destinations regionally and globally", he said.
"We are looking forward to strengthening this collaboration with Bloomberg Media as it will allow experts to exchange ideas and contribute to new innovative solutions to overcome the current difficulties, and create a better future for our nations," al-Kuwari added.
"Bloomberg Media's trusted business news, insights and events are designed to help decision makers identify opportunities and navigate challenges at critical moments," said Justin B Smith, CEO of Bloomberg Media.
"As we continue leading and fostering conversations for influential audiences around the world, the Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg will provide a platform in Doha to address important issues," he added.
Produced by Bloomberg Live and editorially programmed by Bloomberg News, the "Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg" will come to life in a 360 cross-platform experience, with live-streaming on the Bloomberg Terminal and news coverage across Bloomberg's global media platforms including Bloomberg TV, and bloomberg.com.
