The documentation committee under the umbrella of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) began its tasks of recording and documenting the history of Qatari football from its inception until now.
The committee's aim is to find the football movement in Qatar, through the history of Qatari clubs and the achievements of country's individuals and national team.
The Executive Committee of the Qatar Football Association issued a decision to establish the documentation committee headed Ali Daoud. The Committee includes Khaled Mubarak al-Kuwari as vice president, while Abdullah Ali al-Muhannadi, Ibrahim Shaheen al-Sulaiti, Jasim al-Mulla, Ibrahim Azzam and Mirna Ammar are the members.
One of its most important tasks is to document everything related to Qatari football, which can a reference point for media and athletes. The Qatar Football Association signed a memorandum of understanding with the Qatar National Library, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences to promote scientific development and cultural and technical prosperity in Qatar, as working with a leading and specialised library - such as the Qatar National Library - will have positive repercussions on sports work in general and football in general.
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed in January of this year 2021, laid out a clear framework for cooperation between the two parties in various fields, especially those related to the documentation process in the field of football. A major and lasting contribution will also be made on the sports side, in preparation for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as well as leaving a deep cultural legacy in the Middle East and the world in general, which reflects the sincere desire of the two parties to achieve a qualitative leap in this field to be a legacy for present and successive generations.
