Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) state sports wing recently bade farewell to Kunjumon Klary, KMCC state vice president and resident of Qatar for over 43 years. Kunjumon Klary was a leading figure in many socio-cultural activities during his stay in Qatar.
Arriving in Qatar in 1978 at the age of 18, he was initially in a business with relatives. After that he worked in the Ministry of Health Qatar. From the beginning, he worked for the Chandrika Readers' Forum and KMCC. He was one of the early leaders of KMCC and served as Tanur Constituency general secretary, Thirurangadi Constituency president and later as Malappuram District KMCC secretary and vice president. He is currently the vice president of the state KMCC.
A simple ceremony was held in the presence of S A M Basheer, KMCC State president, and Tahir Pattara, vice chairman of KMCC State Sports wing. The outgoing member was also presented with a memento. Sports wing chairman Siddique Vazhakkad; Abdul Aziz Edachery, Moosa Tanur, Firos Anakkayam, Naufal Pullurkara, Raseel Perinthalmanna, Niyas Areekode, Jalil Kondotty, state office-bearers, were also present on the occasion.
