Qatar produced a spirited performance against Ireland to draw 1-1 in the European Zone FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers at the Nagyerdei Stadium in Debrecen, Hungary, on Tuesday.

Mohamed Muntari scored the equaliser for Qatar after James McClean had given Ireland an early lead. After their 1-0 win over Luxembourg in the first match, Felix Sanchez’s men had come back from being a goal down to beat Azerbaijan 2-1 in their second match.
