The Qatar Stars League (QSL) has announced fans will not be allowed to attend the remaining matches of the QNB Stars League, which will resume this Saturday with round 20 matches.

QSL said in a statement: “Following the latest developments and decisions taken by the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management and Ministry of Public Health to contain the coronavirus pandemic and in order to preserve the health and safety of everyone during this period, the QSL decided not to allow fans to attend the remaining matches of 2020-21 season QSL.”

“It may be noted that the QSL is following the latest developments and co-ordinating with the authorities concerned to take appropriate decisions,” the statement added.

The QSL also announced the venues and kick-off times for the last three weeks (20, 21 and 22) of 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. All six Week 20 matches will be played on one day (3rd April, 2021) due to the international commitments and hectic schedule in the month of April, most notably the 2021 AFC Champions League. Week 21 games will be played on 6th and 7th April, 2021, and Week 22 fixtures will be held on 9th and 10th April, 2021.

The following have also been taken into consideration: Starting from Week 20 onwards, summer kick-off times will come into force. The venues will be kept ready to host more than one fixture on match days, in co-ordination with the authorities concerned.
