In "true Galeries Lafayette style", the French department store in Doha is holding a unique ‘Fashion Runway’ campaign to "pay tribute to the behind the scenes of the fashion world".
The campaign, launched on February 18 and running until April 1, celebrates the backstage elements that shape and style the glamorous fashion world. Adding novelty to the store windows, every display zone has come alive, flaunting the features inspired by the world of fashion runways, according to a press statement.
From a hair & makeup corner and backstage model styling scenes to the runway set-up where mannequins are the models, it is a "perfect depiction of the hard work, efforts and sweat that goes behind a successful runway show", the statement notes.
Speaking about the campaign, general manager of Galeries Lafayette Doha Kevin Gerard Pender said: “We have always celebrated fashion but this time we wanted to showcase the real elements that come together to create the glamour on stage. The Galeries Lafayette brand stands for much more than fashion and style, we support creations and the creators.
"The ‘Fashion Runway’ campaign is our humble effort to pay tribute to the real creators of runway glamour and a window to let our clients experience the fashion world’s real backstage moments."
