The International Chamber of Commerce Qatar (ICC Qatar), in partnership with Refinitiv, will be hosting an online event titled ‘Resilient and Resurgent: Qatar Oil and Gas Overview’, slated on Wednesday at 11am Doha time.
This online event aims to look at the energy sector beyond the Covid-19 pandemic and examine how the oil producing and exporting country is being affected following a reduction in fuel pricing for the region.
The upcoming event comprises a panel discussion following a keynote speech from Anne Kat Brevik, director and LNG researcher at Refinitiv, on the outlook of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Qatar.
Members of the panel include Hatem Elsafty, partner at Mazars; Howard Bevan, head of Energy at Al Attiyah Foundation; Sudharsan Sarathy, senior oil analyst at Refinitiv; Abhishek Kumar, senior oil analyst at Refinitiv and session moderator; and Kristine Petrosyan, Oil Market analyst at International Energy Agency (IEA).
The speakers will provide an overview of Qatar's oil and gas industry and engage in discussions on Qatar's economy and how the blockade has changed its foreign trade dynamics, the emergence of alternative and cleaner sources of energy, and the impact of Covid-19 on the energy sector.
The online event is open to the public and targets stakeholders in the energy sector. Registration is now open on Refinitiv's website at https://refini.tv/3kZwObJ.
