The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) and Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have signed a memorandum of understanding for co-operation in the fields of scientific and knowledge exchange.

The MoU was signed by President of Community College of Qatar Dr Mohamed al-Nuaimi and Acting President of Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Dr Abdul Wahab al-Afandi.

The MoU provides for the co-operation in areas of interest for both sides, mainly the exchange of experiences in the academic, research and student fields, co-operation in the fields of research, studies and scientific and knowledge exchange, and the organisation of joint activities such as conferences, seminars and training courses.

The agreement also aims at co-operation in the field of student recruitment, in addition to the co-operation between the various administrative sectors to prepare executive programmes through separate agreements.

Commenting on the occasion, Dr al-Nuaimi said that the co-operation with Doha Institute for Graduate Studies will contribute to achieving the common goals, enrich the academic experience, and open horizons for co-operation in the fields of research, scientific and knowledge exchange, and others.

For his part, Dr al-Afandi underlined that the MoU reflects the institute's belief in the importance of co-operation among higher education institutions to raise the efficiency of performance in the service of the nation and the society, in accordance with the comprehensive quality standards.

The two sides agreed that the MoU would be a basis for co-operation, with the possibility of forming joint work committees and teams, and holding consultative meetings for co-ordination in various related fields, in order to support and enhance work in various areas of common interest.
