Qatar participated in the 44th Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders, which was held through video conference, with the participation of a number of relevant regional and international organisations.

Representing the state at the conference was HE Director-General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim al-Khulaifi.

The conference reviewed the distinguished security experiences of some member states, the repercussions of the coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis on Arab security, and the role of various security sectors and civil protection agencies in facing them.

The participants also discussed the draft Arab strategy for combating human and organ trafficking, and the draft interim plan for implementing the Arab strategy to confront information technology crimes, in addition to the prepared vision about the goals, tasks and mechanism of work of a permanent committee for criminal statistics within the scope of the general secretariat.

The conference's recommendations will be submitted to the next session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers to take the appropriate measures regarding them.
