The Coasts and Borders Security Department at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has launched a new service for marine vessels on the Metrash2 application.
The new facility helps save time and effort for sea-goers as the process of registering marine movement through the points of the Coasts and Borders Security has been replaced with direct registration through Metrash2 and the completion of all procedures for the sailing of marine vessels, the MoI said in a statement on Monday.
The service was launched on the sidelines of Milipol Qatar 2021. The new sailing application submission and registration service comes as part of the ministry's efforts through its departments to enhance and simplify procedures for the public using modern technologies, the statement notes.
Lieutenant-Colonel Abdul Aziz al-Mohannadi, assistant director-general of Coasts and Borders Security, said the service covers all marine vessels in the Qatari territorial waters.
