Indian Business and Professionals Council Qatar (IBPC Qatar), an apex body operating under the aegis of the Indian embassy, recently hosted a webinar jointly with the Pharmaceutical Export Council of India (Pharmexcil) to promote bilateral trade between pharmaceutical manufacturers in India and importers in Qatar, initiated by Angeline Premalatha, counsellor (Political and Commerce) at the embassy.
IBPC president Azim Abbas inaugurated the webinar and welcomed the panel of speakers and audience.
The opening remarks by Dr Deepak Mittal, Indian ambassador, set the tone for the webinar.
In a press statement, IBPC Qatar said the high-profile webinar achieved its goals with strong participation and presentations by Dr Ahmed Babiker, head of Drugs Pricing at the Ministry of Public Health Qatar; Hamad al-Muhannadi, Business Development manager at Qatar Free Zones Authority; Udaya Bhaskar, director-general of Pharmexcil; Apoorva, Bharat Biotech, manufacturers and exporters of Covid vaccines; Rahul Patil, CEO of Mylab Covid Test Kits and Equipment; K P Ashraf, MD of Wellcare Group Qatar; E P Abdurahiman, chairman of Care n Cure Group Qatar; and Jetty George, general secretary of Kerala Pharmacists Forum Qatar.
The webinar was hosted by Manoj Megchiani, joint secretary of IBPC Qatar, and Lakshmi Prasanna, director (Regulatory) at Pharmexcil.
