Qatar Aluminium Manufacturing Company (Qamco), a 50% joint venture partner in Qatalum, has reappointed board of directors for a new term 2021-23.
Accordingly, the company's chairman is Abdulrahman Ahmad al-Shaibi and vice chairman is Ahmad Saeed al-Amoodi.
The other members are Nabeel Mohamed al-Buenain, Mohamed Essa al-Mannai, Mohamed Jaber al-Sulaiti and Khalid Mohamed Laram.
At a recently held annual general assembly meeting, al-Shaibi said despite the challenging macroeconomic situation, the company remained focused on optimisation and operational excellence to maximise shareholder value.
The adopted financing strategy would ensure an optimal structure for the Qamco joint venture's debt to support in "weathering the downturn" in the industry, according to him.
