The Qatar Football Association has selected Generali Arena Stadium to host their first two matches in the European Qualifiers for the World Cup 2022.
Qatar are set to go against Luxembourg in their first match on March 24. The second match will be against Azerbaijan on March 27.
The QFA was invited by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to have the Qatar national team take part in the World Cup Qatar 2022 European Qualifiers. This move reflects on Qatar's importance in the global sports scene.
The national team will be seeded in the first group of the European qualifiers alongside Portugal, Serbia, Ireland, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan.
