The President of the Qatar Tennis Squash and Badminton Federation Nasser al-Khelaifi praised the success of Qatar Total Open year after year, considering that as a natural result of the unlimited support from the wise leadership for sports and athletes.
Al-Khelaifi said, in a press statement, that the competition, in the 19th edition of which is currently being held at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, is witnessing very high levels of competition with some of the most prominent players in the world.
He added that the tournament's competitions this year were strong and exciting since their first rounds, and then the level increased further in the quarter-final and semi-final rounds.
Al-Khelaifi considered that the technical success of the current edition of the tournament coincides with the organizational success in light of the great efforts made by the organizing committees despite the great challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as providing all the factors that contribute to the success of the event in a manner befitting the global position of Qatar in organizing sporting events.
At the end of his statement, al-Khelaifi valued the efforts made by the medical staff in light of the great work being done to preserve the safety of everyone in the face of the pandemic.
He pointed to the commitment of the organizing committee to take all precautionary measures to ensure safety, whether for players, technical staff or workers, as well as the fans and all participants in the event.
