The Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) held the Regular General Assembly at the QVA's headquarters in the presence of all members of the General Assembly of club representatives. The meeting discussed a number of important topics related to the future of volleyball in Qatar.
The agenda of the General Assembly included the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting, approval of reports of past activities and future projects, and approval of the final account of the last fiscal year.
The meeting, which was chaired by President of Qatar Volleyball Association Ali bin Ghanim al-Kuwari, praised during the meeting the technical levels of sports clubs during the current sports season, and the impressive performance of the Qatari teams that recently participated in the 2021 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour at Al Gharafa. The tournament took place under strict precautionary measures at the venue. The event was won the Qatari duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan.
It praised the performance of all clubs and their commitment to the instructions to limit the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and everyone's keenness to follow the precautionary and preventive instructions issued by the Ministry of Public Health and the Olympic Committee in order to ensure the safety of everyone. It also noted the concerted efforts in serving the game, the clubs' preparations and their interest in developing teams, despite the current circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic that affected the sports season for age groups.
