The competent authorities referred 443 people to the Public Prosecution for violating the precautionary and preventive measures enforced by the country to curb the spread of Covid-19, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported on Monday.
Of them, 434 people were referred to the Public Prosecution for not wearing masks in places where they are mandatory, while nine were found violating the rule limiting the number of people allowed in a vehicle.
According to the rule, a maximum of four persons – including the driver – are allowed in a vehicle except when the occupants are members of the same family.
The measure is in line with a Cabinet decision and Decree Law No 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary measures in force in the country to contain the spread of Covid-19.
