The graduation ceremony was held at the headquarters of Miqdam Camp where it was attended by Kahramaa president Issa bin Hilal al- Kuwari, HE the Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training Major-General Hamad Ahmed al-Nuaimi and NSA head Staff Major-General Saeed Hamad al-Nuaimi.
The recruits, during the three months of the training period, received extensive theoretical and practical training on how to operate and manage water pumping stations, electricity and water installations, rationing techniques and other operations. They were trained by Kahramaa officials.
The recruits underwent 300 training hours while attending the theoretical and practical aspects in six groups, taking into account the social distancing rules imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They strictly followed the precautionary measures put in place.
The programme covered three technical specialties - operating water pumping stations, energy and rationalisation technologies, and water and electricity connections. Several workshops were held, during which the recruits were trained on how to do these installations. During the programme, the recruits prepared 20 technical reports on six water pumping stations. These included daily reports, unexpected malfunctions and how to communicate with supervisers to report such cases as soon as they occurred.
Kahramaa praised the recruits' commitment to safety and security requirements throughout the training period, congratulating the graduates for their excellence and eagerness to acquire knowledge.
On their part, the graduates expressed happiness with the training they received, noting that they have enhanced their knowledge of the specifications applied by the institution in accordance with the quality standards adopted locally and internationally in order to ensure that services reach subscribers continuously and safely.
In October 2020, Kahramaa signed an agreement of co-operation with the NSA to train national service recruits and enhance co-operation in general and specific areas to benefit both parties. This came in line with Kahramaa’s goals to support the development of society and meet the country's electricity and water demand.
The agreement included various areas of co-operation, including the exchange of experiences in the fields of training and development.
In the future, according to the press statement, Kahramaa looks forward to further co-operation and co-ordination with the NSA to continue implementing the ambitious programme in order to contribute to achieving the development pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030. Also, Kahramaa extended its thanks and appreciation to all those who are in charge of the NSA, including its president, officers and individuals, for their co-operation in making the programme a success.
