The Ministry of Interior (MoI) concluded on Thursdaya course on preventing attacks on buses and trains, which was held by the ministry's training institute in co-operation with the US Department of State's Anti-Terrorism Assistance programme. The 10-day course saw 22 officers from the Ministry of Interior, Lekhwiya, and Qatar Rail participate.
The goal of the course was to enhance participants' ability to prevent those types of attacks.
Director of the Department of International Cooperation Major General Engineer Abdul Aziz Abdullah al-Ansari stressed at the conclusion of the course that its aim was to equip officers with the latest techniques and technologies to achieve the desired outcomes of the course. He said that the course will enhance the skills of officers in dealing with these sort of crimes very professionally, adding that the institute will continue to co-operate with local and foreign institutes to organise other courses.
