The Asian Premier League (APL) successfully concluded their 3rd Season of Champions trophy with the final match played between Ceylon Warriors and XI Brothers wherein Ceylon Warriors won the match by five wickets.
The Man of the Match was awarded to Riyas Mohamed of Ceylon Warriors for his 111 (not out). He also bagged the best batsman of the tournament award. Manpreet Singh of Punjab Warriors and Shiv Shankar (Captain) of Ceylon Warriors were the best bowlers.
APL chairman Mohamed Sayeed presided. Board member Lutfi Kakar proposed a vote of thanks. The dignitaries included Jawed Ahmad (APL board member and president of AMU Alumni Association Qatar), Ghulam Rasool (APL board member and TWA vice-president), popular Punjabi singer Angrej Singh, Sandeep Singh (president, Punjab Seva Dal) and Nanak Singh (member of Singh Seva Group, Punjab Seva Dal and One India Association).
Before start the match the Ehteraz status of all participants and attendees was checked and everyone advised to follow the Covid-19 preventive and precautionary measures.
APL chairman thanked committee members Mujtaba Hussain, Mohamed Ali, Rashed, Shahinur, Shafait Nader, Saif Ali Meyer, Sikandar Kamaal, Shabbir Ahmed for their services at the event.
