With only days left for the 13th edition of the Milipol Qatar, the authorities are making final arrangements for the exhibition that will be held from March 15 to March 17 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). Organisers have said this edition of the mega event will be held in an environment with precautionary measures in order to reduce the health risks. Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported quoting Major General Nasser bin Fahd al-Thani, Chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee, that the event will be held while controlling the flow of visitors.
“We place the safety of exhibitors, visitors, speakers and delegations at the top of our list of priorities. We are keen to provide all personal protection systems and equipment during the event. We will also periodically sanitise the entire facilities in line with the highest health standards approved by the Ministry of Health (MoPH),” the chairman said.
A number of leading technology companies from across Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean region, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent will attend the event while exhibiting a wide range of offerings of equipment, systems, products and sector-specific advice. These are in addition to the local Qatari companies.
The event, one of the leading international exhibitions in internal security and civil defence sectors, was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a statement from the Ministry of Interior on Thursday said.
The exhibition organising committee has held continuous discussions with the most important partners and sectors to face the challenges arising from the repercussions of the pandemic.
