The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on Tuesday announced the closure of four commercial establishments for violating its circulars regarding the precautionary and preventive measures put in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and for failing to meet general and special requirements.
The four establishments are massage centres located in Al Aziziyah and Bin Omran, according to a tweet by the MoCI.
The businesses will remain closed until the current situation is duly addressed and fines are paid, the ministry said.
On Monday, the MoCI had announced the closure of two retail outlets in Umm Lekhba and Labour City for similar violations. A few days earlier, it announced the closure of several retail outlets across Qatar, including a gymnasium in The Pearl-Qatar, a retail outlet in Abu Hamour, a cafe in Souq Waqif, and three commercial companies in Al Wakrah, Ain Khaled and Old Airport.
Before that, the ministry had announced the closure of a women’s accessories store in Al Markhiya, a car wash on Salwa Road and a cafe in Al Duhail for similar violations.
