Texas A&M University at Qatar (Tamuq) is accepting applications for the fall 2021 semester for freshman until March 1. High school seniors who are interested in attending the university can experience life as an engineering student during an interactive virtual event on February 20.
The participants will get a chance to meet professors and current students from the four engineering majors — chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and petroleum engineering — offered by Tamuq during its annual Experience Tamuq virtual event on February 20 via Zoom.
Professors will talk with prospective students about what it means to be an engineer. Current students will share their personal experiences, including how they adjusted to the demands of college life during which students are expected to become independent learners responsible for their own decisions.
Tamuq offers training and advanced accredited programmes in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and petroleum engineering that rank among the top American universities for education and research. Students who are interested in applying to Texas A&M at Qatar to study engineering may visit www.exploretamuq.com to find out more about the university, request a virtual tour or meet with officers and advisers in the Office of Admissions.
Texas A&M commands an international reputation as one of the world’s premier engineering programmes, said Maha Ayyash, director of admissions, and students at the Qatar campus receive the same top-tier training as students enrolled at the main campus.
“Tamuq offers top engineering programmes, coupled with a very rewarding and exceptional student experience,” Ayyash added.
