Qatar participated in the extraordinary meeting of the GCC health ministers, held on Thursday in Riyadh. HE Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari represented the state in the meeting. The meeting, held via video conference, covered a number of important topics that included epidemiological indicators in the GCC, precautionary measures that can contain the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) variant, as well as the health conditions required from GCC citizens at borders, a proposal to hold a joint study on gene sequencing, and standards for registering vaccines.
