* New rule comes into effect on Sunday
* Decision also impacts those who have been exempted from hotel quarantine before travelling and visitors entering Qatar

There will be no exemptions from hotel quarantine for people returning to Qatar from February 14, except for those coming from Green List countries, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced through social media on Thursday.
"Building on the previously announced return from travel policy to the State of Qatar, and in the light of the new medical data on Covid-19 in Qatar and the rest of the world, it is decided that any previous exemptions from hotel quarantine shall no longer apply for people returning back to Qatar from countries not on the Green List," the MoPH said. "This new policy shall apply to all entries and exits from Qatar from Sunday, 14th February, 2021."
The decision also impacts those who have been exempted from hotel quarantine before travelling as well as visitors entering Qatar, according to the MoPH.
"The Ministry of Public Health also confirms that the existing quarantine policy for travel and return to Qatar for people coming from counties on the Green List will remain in place. The ministry shall keep these decisions under review and update them where appropriate based on public health indicators in the State of Qatar and the rest of the world," it added.
The Green List, which is published on the MoPH website, currently includes the following countries: Oman, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, China (A. Hong Kong SAR - China; B. Macau SAR - China), Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Myanmar, Maldives 'Safe Travel Bubble' package only, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Cuba, Mauritius, Iceland and Ireland.
