Qatar’s diplomatic, consular and representative missions abroad held numerous sporting activities to mark the National Sport Day, amid Covid precautionary measures and procedures.
Qatar’s embassy in Brussels, Belgium, held sporting events with the participation of ambassador Abdulrahman bin Muhammad al-Khulaifi, the embassy and military attache staff.
In Athens, Greece, Qatar’s embassy organised sporting events with the participation of ambassador Abdulaziz Ali al-Naama and the embassy staff. The activities included competitions in walking, jogging and warm-ups.
In Amman, Jordan, sporting events were held by Qatar’s embassy with the participation of ambassador Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim al-Thani, military attache Brigadier General Mubarak bin Ahmed al-Nasr, cultural attache Hamad bin Abdullah al-Sharif, members of the diplomatic mission, a number of officials and embassy staff.
Qatar’s embassy in Rome, Italy, held various sporting events with the participation of the diplomatic staff, Qatar’s defence attache and a number of local employees at the embassy. Programmes included power walking, jogging and various physical exercises.
In Belgrade, Serbia, sporting events were held by Qatar’s embassy with the participation of ambassador Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahd al-Thani and embassy staff. The programmes included bowling competitions.
In Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, sporting events were organised by Qatar’s embassy with the participation of ambassador Sultan bin Ali al-Khater and embassy staff. The programmes included climbing the slopes of Mount Igman, skiing, soccer and walking.
Qatar’s embassy in Bamako, Mali, organised sporting events with the participation of ambassador Ahmed Abudlrahman al-Senedy and embassy staff. A number of ministers in the Mali government also attended.
In Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, sporting events were held by Qatar’s embassy with the participation of ambassador Hussein bin Ahmed al-Hamid and embassy staff. The ambassador said the National Sport Day was a great occasion to raise awareness on the importance of being physically active on a daily basis. Events included a football match between embassy staff and employees of Qatar Airway’s Tanzania office.
In Rabat, Morocco, Qatar’s embassy organised sporting events with the participation of ambassador Fahd bin Ibrahim al-Hamad al-Mana, members of the mission, and embassy staff.
In Accra, Ghana, Qatar’s embassy held sporting events with the participation of ambassador Mohammed bin Ahmed al-Hamid, and embassy staff. The day’s events included walking and running.
In Lisbon, Portugal, Qatar’s embassy held sporting events with the participation of the diplomatic staff. The programme included cycling.

In Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Qatar’s embassy organised sporting events as charge d’affairs Khalid bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari, in a speech on the occasion, called on everyone to pay attention to sports and make it a way of life. The day’s programme included various sports competitions between employees.
In Monrovia, Liberia, sporting events were held by Qatar’s embassy with the participation of charge d’affairs Mohammed Abdullah al-Sada, and members of the embassy. The programmes included competitions in running and swimming.
