Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has celebrated National Sport Day (NSD) with a number of competitions and offers, to create awareness on the importance of sports and fitness in achieving a sound and healthy lifestyle, which, in turn, helps in the development of a strong and prosperous society.
Showcasing the fun and rewarding benefits of sports and to promote the idea that physical activities can be exciting, QIB has posted a series of sports and heath tips on its social media channels, suitable for a variety of ages and for all members of the family to benefit from, the bank has said in a statement.
QIB followers got the the opportunity to contribute to the sports tips and activities and share the excitement of the national holiday while benefiting from information on how to effectively make physical activity a daily part of their schedule and embark on a healthier lifestyle. QIB’s tips will support the culture of sports and health among all the people in Qatar, and especially to the ones who spend hours during work on their desks, helping them in adopting small changes that lead to a healthier lifestyle, the statement notes.
Further, QIB ran an exclusive social media competition asking participants to mention an 'Inactive' friend in the comments, for a chance for three participants and their mentioned friends for both to win QR2,000 sports gear vouchers. 
In addition, QIB has partnered with MyBook to offer a number of National Sport Day offers. The MyBook offer, available via the MyBook App, will allow QIB customers to avail of a 'buy one and get one free' offer on all their purchases from dedicated retailers in Qatar. The offer is valid at a host of health and fitness outlets and brands, including 365 Adventures, Adventure Rooms, Ozone Gym & Spa, Gymmito Fitness Club, Cedars Sports Academy, Discover Arabia, Swasthi Yoga, Guerlain Spa Alfardan, National Cruise, Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club, Doha Golf Club, Snow Dunes, Cenfit, Happy Faces Swimming Academy and others.
Finally, taking into consideration the latest preventive measures realated to the Covid-19 pandemic, QIB conducted for the first time four online fitness classes for its employees and their family members.
